Fancy a trip to the Olympic Stadium?

15,000 pupils are taking on the Gold Challenge!

Three weeks ago we announced that we would be hosting a test event in the Olympic Stadium with an opportunity for the highest fundraising schools to have their own 100m race and the race is already on!

Over 15,000 students have entered the Gold Challenge across the country raising money for a whole range of our 150 charity partners and we don't want to stop there!

We're extending our stadium offer to schools. For every 100 pupils your school signs up before 16th December pledging to raise at least £5 per pupil, you will receive 5 places in our amazing Gold Challenge event in the Olympic Stadium on 1st April 2012!

Take a look at the examples below of how schools are taking on the challenge!

Thorpe Hall School are fundraising for Rarer Cancers

16 teams at Thorpe Hall School are aiming to collectively cover 2012km. They are taking on the challenge both in class and through extra curricular activity. They started their challenge in October and the race is on to complete the distance first!

Brookfield Primary school are getting active for London 2012

Brookfield Primary School are taking on 2012km as a whole school team in a bid to get fitter for 2012 whilst raising £2,012 for Make-A-Wish. They will be transforming lives of young people fighting life threatening illnesses.

Wallingford School are making Dreams come true

Wallingford School are taking on the 2012km challenge in class groups in February. In their P.E lessons they will be aiming to cover the distance raising money for Dreams Come True.

What do I need to do?

  • Your school pledges to cover a distance of 2012km in classes, year groups or houses raising money for your choice of over 150 Gold Challenge Charity partners pledging to raise a minimum of £5 per pupil.
  • Cover the distance by running, walking, swimming, cycling, rowing and more.
  • Record your distance travelled on the 2012km Totalizer.
  • Be in with a chance of having your own 100m race if you are one of our top fundraising schools.

For more information or to register, visit our website or contact Katie or Emily on schools@goldchallenge.org or 020 7099 8895.

Don't let this fantastic opportunity pass you by - see you in the Stadium!
