FUNS for Everyone: Physical Literacy for All
It is essential to provide Primary age children with the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) they need to maximise their physical potential and confidence in PE and Sport. Without developing these skills at an early age, children’s future relationship with physical activity and sport will be adversely affected.
Structured around a staged series of challenges, the programme includes over 200 physical challenges that introduces, builds & develops the core fundemental movement skills - Agility, Balance & Co-ordination, therefore supporting physically immature young people whilst challenging the Gifted & Talented.
The course is ideal for those delivering and supporting the primary & secondary curriculum, multi-skill clubs, talent academies and sport specific programmes.
FUNS for everyone: Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course:
All delegates will be able to explain what FMS are and why they are essential for primary age children.
All delegates will be able to use the ‘FUNS for everyone’ resources.
Most delegates will be able to apply the ’FUNS for everyone’ philosophy to better include, challenge and support all children in P.E. and Sport.
Some delegates will be ready to deliver ‘FUNS for everyone’ using a range of delivery methods.
